I’ve recently been in touch with a professional cartoonist to get a little information about publishing my work on cartoonstock.com. One thing which stood out was his suggestion that I try using fewer words in my panels. In the past, the dialog I used was pretty much word-for-word conversations between Mr. Weenie and myself. As an exercise, I’m going back to a few of my cartoons and editing them down to their essence—hopefully without losing their original content and tone. Who knows? Maybe someday I’ll apply to a syndicate… but that’s a LONG way off. In the meantime, I’d love some feedback—either here or on Facebook—about what you think of my edits.
